G-SHOCK GA-V01 SERIES – Model GAV01SKE-4A

Overview

A whole new GA-V01 reinterpretation of construction and translucent design, inspired by tech products from the Y2K era. This translucent orange version brings together organic exterior form and sharp-edged components, combined with a large full-screen LCD and the Shock Release Hand.

The center case protecting the module is covered by an exterior that employs an integrated bezel and band construction, with large dimensional indexes that overlap the glass to also function as shock-absorbent bumpers. The result is a uniquely powerful look that keeps the shock resistance G-SHOCK is built on.

The Shock Release Hand attaches the minute hand to the shaft with magnetic force rather than a fixed connection, so it absorbs and dissipates impacts. The structure also allows larger hands and more freedom in styling.

The layered analog-digital face combines a full-screen LCD with a metallic dial with openwork see-through sections, and an indicator hand inside the LCD finishes the design. A high-capacity battery and low power consumption give it approximately 10-year battery life.
